Dear Alumnus,
Home. Is there a more beloved word in the English language? It brings
thoughts of familiar people and places which have helped to shape and
develop who and where we are today. From October 16-17, we invite you to
come home to Belleville Mennonite School and join us for the 7th Annual Fall
Foliage Homecoming Weekend.
This year, we recognize and celebrate 64 years of God's faithfulness at Belleville Mennonite School. The BMS Class of 1959 chose the phrase, "Be Faithful to God's Calling" as their class motto, and we'll adopt this prayer as our theme for the weekend learning how members of the class of '59 have kept this calling. The Annual Faith Promise Dinner starts the weekend's events on Friday evening, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. The evening will include a delicious home cooked dinner, speaker Mr. George Yoder ('59), sharing from former and current BMS students, special music from the BMS Senior Choir, and a nostalgic reunion of the Men's Quartet - class of '59.
Belleville Mennonite School provides a comprehensive Pre-K through Grade 12 education in a Christ-centered environment, and prepares students to change the world through Christlike service, peacemaking, and leadership. Do you know a BMS graduate whose life and accomplishments illustrate this mission? If so, be sure to nominate that individual for the 2009 Alumnus of the Year Award, presented at Faith Promise. Record your nomination on the Fall Foliage Homecoming registration sheet included with this letter.
We welcome all members of the BMS Alumni Association, which includes all BMS graduates and is open to anyone who has attended BMS, to come home to the Big Valley for this year's homecoming events. Remember the beautiful Autumn displays of "God's splendor" in the Big Valley? Come enjoy the scenery and join us for a weekend at Belleville Mennonite School.
